TIRINI DX2 Gear Display & Micro-Dash

DX2 is designed as a fully standalone racing instrument. Vehicle selection, display layouts, shift-light behaviour, colours, brightness, channels and alarms are configured directly from the touchscreen.

Pre-installed profiles simplify installation by loading the required communication method, channels and settings for supported vehicles and ECUs.

A single USB-C connection carries power and communication through the appropriate OBD adapter or direct-CAN harness, keeping the installation compact and easy to move between compatible applications.

No phone, app, online account or wireless connection is required. A computer is only needed for firmware updates, Sim Racing connectivity and analysis of exported data logs.

Available values depend on the selected vehicle profile and may include boost pressure, coolant temperature, intake-air temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, throttle position, battery voltage and gearbox temperature.

DX2 TUNER

Includes everything available with CORE and PRO and unlocks the advanced tools required for aftermarket ECUs, custom vehicles, tuners, workshops and race teams.

OBD and Direct CAN

DX2 CORE communicates through the vehicle OBD port only. This provides the simplest installation and does not require direct access to the vehicle wiring.

DX2 PRO and TUNER can also connect directly to the powertrain CAN Bus on selected supported profiles. Direct CAN provides substantially faster gear, RPM and engine-data updates for an immediate racing-display response.

The direct CAN flying-lead harness is also suitable for supported aftermarket ECUs and custom motorsport installations.

Aftermarket Racing ECUs

DX2 TUNER includes pre-installed profiles for Haltech, MoTeC and Emtron. Link ECU, ECUMaster and other popular ECU profiles are in development and will be added progressively through firmware updates.

Available channels depend on the ECU model, selected CAN stream and ECU configuration. An ECU may require its broadcast stream to be enabled before data becomes available.

Custom Profiles

TUNER can be configured for vehicles and ECUs that are not covered by an existing profile. Creating a new profile may require CAN documentation, data capture, testing or remote technical development.

Licence Upgrades

All three versions use the same DX2 hardware. CORE can be permanently upgraded to PRO or directly to TUNER, while PRO can be permanently upgraded to TUNER at any time.

The upgrade is activated directly on the existing DX2. The device does not need to be replaced or returned.

Before Ordering

Please confirm that your vehicle, transmission or ECU is listed as supported. If it is not listed, contact TIRINI Racing before ordering to discuss compatibility or profile development.

CAN transmission and custom TUNER configurations must be correctly configured and verified by a qualified person before use.

Vehicle Compatibility

DX2 uses pre-installed profiles developed and tested for specific vehicles, transmissions and ECUs. Available data and functions depend on the selected profile, connection method and ECU software version.

Similar vehicle models may use different diagnostic identifiers, CAN messages, data positions or scaling. A vehicle should only be considered plug-and-play when its exact model, year, transmission and connection method are listed as supported.

Tested & Confirmed Vehicles

The following vehicles and DSG configurations have been physically tested and confirmed with DX2:

• Volkswagen Golf GTI/R MK7 DSG 6-speed and 7-speed — 2014–2020
• Audi A3/S3 MK3 (8V) DSG 6-speed and 7-speed — 2013–2020
• Audi TT/TT RS MK3 (8S) DSG 6-speed and 7-speed — 2015–2020
• ŠKODA Octavia RS MK3 DSG 6-speed and 7-speed — 2014–2020

This confirmed vehicle list is continuously expanding as additional models, transmissions and ECU software versions are tested.

Available channels and direct-CAN functions can vary between vehicle profiles. Select your exact vehicle during purchase or contact TIRINI Racing if your model is not currently listed.

Can’t Find Your Vehicle?

DX2 is not limited to the vehicles currently listed. Most vehicles with accessible OBD or CAN Bus data can potentially be added through direct remote support with TIRINI Racing.

When purchasing DX2 TUNER, new vehicle-profile development and the required remote support are provided completely free of charge.

Compatibility must still be confirmed before purchasing. Contact us with your vehicle model, year, engine, transmission and ECU details so we can check data availability and confirm whether a compatible profile can be created.

Remote development may require access to the vehicle, diagnostic software, CAN data recording or assistance from the customer, workshop or tuner. Compatibility cannot be guaranteed until the vehicle and available data have been reviewed.

The OBD adapter provides the standard plug-and-play connection for supported vehicles.

Some vehicles or ECUs may require an additional vehicle-specific connector, adapter or installation work. Any accessory not specifically listed above is not included.
